Jamie Laing net worth: Made in Chelsea star has this staggering fortune

Jamie Laing is a reality star who joined the cast of Made in Chelsea for series two in 2011. Today, he was one of the first people to be “announced” as joining this year’s line up of Strictly Come Dancing star, when Iain Lee made the shock revelation on Good Morning Britain. As well as appearing on the screen, Jamie has set up his own business and is heir to the popular biscuit brand, McVities. How much money does he have?

The reality star has a net worth of £2 million, according to Spear’s magazine.

After graduating from Leeds University, Jamie did a number of odd jobs before he landed a role on Made in Chelsea.

He may not have shot to fame until then, but the star was already part of a very high profile family.

His great-grandfather, Alexander Grant, invested the Digestive biscuit and soon became the chairman and managing director of United Biscuits, who own McVities.

The business is still in the family and Jame’s dad is apparently a silent shareholder in the company.

While Jamie may not get any money directly from the business at the moment, the wealthy star is not short for cash and it was reported Jamie’s dad hired him an accountant to keep an eye on his spending.

As well as appearing on TV, Jamie set up a candy and clothing brand called Candy Kittens and his branded sweets are stocked in various retailers including Harvey Nichols and Topshop.

Jamie revealed this gave him a huge turnover of £25,000 from the opening night alone and he has since released a cookbook, Candy Kittens: Recipes for Sweet Treats, which is sure to have added to his wealth.

The star has grown his fortune with a number of collaborations with different brands and uploaded paid advertisement posts to his social media profile.

He currently has a podcast show, Private Parts, with Made in Chelsea co-star, Francis Boulle.

Jamie is sure to grow his fortune even further with his appearance on the BBC competition, Strictly Come Dancing.

The TV host, Ruth Langsford, took part in the 2017 series of the dancing show, where she reportedly earned £25,000

Through her work as a presenter on shows including This Morning and Loose Women, the star has a net worth of around £4.1 million.

Last year’s Strictly Come Dancing winner, Stacey Dooley, has an impressive fortune of her own, which she has earned through her work on documentaries over the last 11 years.

According to website Articlebio, Stacey’s net worth is around £822,750.
