Fantasy Premier League tips: Who will you sign before today’s 11.30am deadline?
Fantasy football bosses will hope to get a big haul of points on the board ahead of the international break, but thousands of squads require serious surgery before GW4.
Marcus Rashford caused FPL heartbreak with his penalty miss last time out while gaffers without the likes of Teemu Pukki and Raheem Sterling are desperately looking to free up funds for the prolific duo.
Crystal Palace assets have emerged as genuine targets after their win over Manchester United while West Ham begin a run of tempting fixtures at home to Norwich.
Liverpool are the only team still with a 100 per cent record this season and Mohamed Salah was among the goals last time out – so who should you sign and hand the captain’s armband to this weekend?
Top FPL transfer tips for GW4
DEF: Patrick van Aanholt (Crystal Palace) – £5.5m
Van Aanholt is a known fan of FPL, running his own dedicated league to play directly against supporters, and the Dutchman will have been delighted with his last-minute winner and three bonus points against United last time out.
Palace could well have turned a corner after their first victory of the campaign and they will hope to keep the momentum up at home to Villa.
MID: Mason Mount (Chelsea) – £6.2m
A favourite under Frank Lampard following their time together at Derby, Mount has scored against both Leicester and Norwich and is on set-pieces for Chelsea this season.
A calf injury against Norwich will temper investment, but the youngster is worth snapping up anyway as he is sure to feature heavily again once fit.
FWD: Sebastien Haller (West Ham United) – £7.4m
Injury kept Haller out against Brighton in GW2 but the Frenchman bounced back with an excellent double at Watford.
West Ham will look to punish newly-promoted Norwich and Aston Villa in their next two matches and Haller will be key.
Fantasy Premier League tips: Sebastien Haller scored twice last time out against Watford
In-form FPL players for GW4
MID: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 10.0 form
Thousands of managers sold Salah after his blank against Southampton but the Egyptian made them pay with two goals last time out against Arsenal.
Added to his strike against Norwich, Salah now has 30 points already this season and should bag some more against Burnley.
MID: Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) – 11.7 form
Sterling has five goals in his first three matches, backing up a hat-trick on the opening weekend against West Ham with further strikes against Tottenham and Bournemouth.
The Manchester City winger is owned by more than 46 per cent of FPL managers and will be a threat against Brighton on Saturday.
FWD: Teemu Pukki (Norwich City) – 12.0 form
Pukki attracted heavy investment after his hat-trick against Newcastle, with the Finn’s price shooting up as a result.
The Norwich frontman also scored against Liverpool and Chelsea, meaning West Ham should be wary of the Canaries ace.
Fantasy Premier League tips: Raheem Sterling has scored five goals already this season
Best-value FPL players for GW4
DEF: John Lundstram (Sheffield United) – 4.0 points per million
Lundstram was identified as ideal bench-filler before the start of the campaign, having featured heavily in midfield during pre-season.
But the Sheffield United ace is proving more than just a cheap enabler, with the 25-year-old scoring the winner and claiming all three bonus points against Crystal Palace.
MID: Todd Cantwell (Norwich City) – 4.0 points per million
Cantwell has played a huge part in Norwich’s attacking endeavours so far this season, providing two assists against Newcastle and a goal against Chelsea.
The midfielder has seen his price rise as a result but is still a bargain option for FPL managers.
FWD: Teemu Pukki (Norwich City) – 5.0 points per million
Pukki has shot up five price points already following his goalscoring heroics this season but is well worth the money.
The Canaries frontman is still pulling in a healthy amount of points per million for new owners, but those who had him before GW1 will be feeling very smug.

Who should I captain in FPL GW4?
Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) vs Arsenal (A)
The Tottenham skipper was denied a clear-cut penalty last time out against Newcastle but instead blanked as the entire Spurs team struggled against Newcastle.
However, Kane has a superb record against Arsenal with nine goals in 10 games and will hope to get his name on the scoresheet once again at the Emirates.
Tammy Abraham (Chelsea) vs Sheffield United (H)
Abraham was not a certain pick in the Chelsea side at the start of the season but his double against Norwich has seen more than 290,000 managers snap up the Blues frontman.
A home clash with Sheffield United is next for Frank Lampard’s side, although the Blades have only conceded three goals so far this season.
TOP CHOICE: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) vs Brighton & Hove Albion (H)
The Argentine scored twice against Bournemouth and now has four goals this campaign, just one behind FPL favourite Sterling.
Both Manchester City stars are worth consideration at home to Brighton, although Aguero is a great differential with less than 20 per cent of bosses owning the striker.
