The Red Devils are desperate to add a right-back to their ranks following Antonio Valencia’s exit.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has earmarked Wan-Bissaka as the perfect man to improve his squad.
Manchester United have had an initial £40million offer turned down by Crystal Palace.
And now the Eagles have told Red Devils supremo Ed Woodward a bid of £50m will be needed for them to sell Wan-Bissaka, according to Sky Sports.
The 21-year-old impressed at Selhurst Park this season, making 39 appearances in all competitions.
And that has put him on the radar of United who are desperate to overhaul their squad after finishing down in sixth in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have already completed the signing of Daniel James from Swansea for £15m.
Wan-Bissaka could be the next man through the door with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Matthijs de Ligt also linked with a United switch.
The England U21 international is contracted to Crystal Palace until 2022.
But the reports claim Wan-Bissaka does want to leave the Eagles for United this summer.
Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour thinks the transfer fee for the right-back is ‘madness’.
“It is madness, absolute madness,” Parlour told talkSPORT.
“I really like him, I think he’s an excellent player and I’ve seen him on quite a few occasions.
“His defending is very good and he gets forward. But for £65m? It’s crazy. I mean, look at those Ajax youngsters.
“They’re only young and they’ve not really done anything yet.
“They’ve really shown that they can play in an Ajax shirt and have done really well in the Champions League but they’re going for £70m-£80m as well.”
United will be desperate to try and bridge the gap to the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
Solskjaer is expected to add several players to his squad this summer in order to do that.
