12pm UPDATE: Cristiano Ronaldo wants Romelu Lukaku

Cristiano Ronaldo has given the green light to Juventus signing Romelu Lukaku this summer.

According to The Sun, Juventus officials have travelled to London to continue negotiations with Lukaku.

They add that Juve even asked Cristiano Ronaldo for his thoughts on signing the United star.

Ronaldo reportedly backed the move, giving the green light to Juve landing the striker.

United could replace Lukaku with Paulo Dybala in the coming days.

11.45am UPDATE: Patrice Evra calls Paulo Dybala

Manchester United hero Patrice Evra has stepped in to try and convince Paulo Dybala to swap Juventus for Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have agreed a deal with the Serie A champions for the Argentine forward to move to the club with Romelu Lukaku going in the opposite direction.

Now Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim Evra has convinced Dybala to move to United by calling his former Juventus team-mate.

Dybala’s agent was in London yesterday to hold talks with United representatives.

With an agreement struck between the Red Devils and Juventus it looks like Lukaku will head to the Old Lady instead.

That is only if Dybala can be convinced to make the move to United though, who of course have no Champions League football this season.

11.15am UPDATE: Arsenal set to announce Nicolas Pepe signing

Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Nicolas Pepe on a five-year deal, worth £138,000 a week, today.

The Lille forward is moving to the Emirates for £72m – only £20m of which will be paid up front, with the rest going to France in £13m instalments.

Pepe was pictured in an Arsenal shirt last night as images from a behind-the-scenes photoshoot were leaked online.

Liverpool and Manchester United had tracked the Ivory Coast international, who scored 22 goals in Ligue 1 last season.

10.45am UPDATE: Aston Villa strike Tom Heaton agreement

Aston Villa have had a £9million offer for Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton accepted.

The 33-year old England international, who was in the last year of his contract at Turf Moor, is set to become Villa’s 12th signing of the summer.

Heaton is expected to travel to the Midlands today ahead of a medical and putting pen to paper on a transfer.

He started Burnley’s last two pre-season friendlies against Wigan and last night’s 6-1 win over Nice.

10.15am UPDATE: Arsenal to hijack Everton over Moise Kean

Arsenal have contacted agent Mino Raiola in an attempt to hijack Everton’s deal for Moise Kean, according to reports.

However, it is claimed the Juventus striker has rejected the chance to move to north London and that he remains internet on completing his switch to Merseyside.

Everton agreed a £36million deal with Juve on Monday and the 19-year-old is set to sign a contract before the end of the week.

The Daily Mail claim the Gunners contacted Raiola – who represents Kean – over the phone on a bid to convince him to change his mind.

But the player is said to have not been keen as they cannot guarantee him first-team football ahead of the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
