Philippe Coutinho deal agreed
Arsenal have apparently agreed a season-long loan deal with Barcelona for midfield star Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order at the Nou Camp just 18 months after his £142million move from Liverpool.
According to French publication L’Equipe, Unai Emery’s side have beaten several Premier League rivals to snap up the playmaker.
Barcelona are expected to demand a loan fee for Coutinho, which comes a week after Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign £72m attacker Nicolas Pepe.
Kieran Tierney deal close
Sky Italy’s Antonio Russo claim Arsenal are close to signing Celtic defender Kieran Tierney.
The Gunners have chased the Scotland international for the majority of the summer transfer window and saw an initial £15m offer turned down.
It was thought Celtic were hoping for a figure closer to the £25m mark.
But talks are said to be ongoing and Arsenal are confident of getting the deal over the line before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.
Arsenal have reportedly identified two targets who could replace captain Laurent Koscielny.
According to Sky Sports, RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano and Juventus’ Daniele Rugani are on the Gunners’ radar.
Koscielny refused to return to pre-season training after the summer break as he looked to force his move away from the Emirates.
And the centre-back completed a £4.6m switch Bordeaux earlier today.
